Organic East is a democratic association of organic farmers, shops and other businesses from across the East of England.
We believe in a food system that goes further than the requirements of organic certification in demonstrating fairness, transparency and comprehensive ecological principles. Our charter sets out the principles that our members follow.
Membership of Organic East is by the democratic consent of existing members: prospective members sign up to our charter and are admitted if over 50% of our membership approves their application. Members pay a modest annual fee to cover the costs of administering and maintaining the association and its website.
